Patrick Tucci

Patrick T. Tucci, 95, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., formerly of Butler passed away Sept. 21, 2017, in New Smyrna Beach.

Patrick was born in Ridgeway, Pa., on April 14, 1922. He was a son of the late Luigi and Antonia Volpe Tucci.

Before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1942, Patrick married the former Shirley Maxine Thompson. He and Shirley remained married until her death in 2003.

He proudly served his country during World War II.

Patrick was of the Catholic faith.

At one time, he was employed at Butler County Ford. Patrick later worked at the Chrysler stamping plant in Twinsburg, Ohio, and he also was employed by Slippery Rock College. Upon his retirement in 1995, he and Maxine relocated to New Smyrna Beach.

He was a lifetime member of the VFW, Moose Lodge, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and the Sons of Italy.

His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, as well as helping others in any way that he possibly could. His wonderful smile and infectious laugh will always be remembered by those who loved him.

Patrick is survived by his son, Patrick L. Tucci; his daughter, Suzanne (Terry) Cooper; and his beloved great-granddaughter, Paige M. Cooper, all of New Smyrna Beach. Additionally, Patrick is survived by his brother, George (Mary) Tucci of Grove City; his sisters, Ann Bogusky and Leona Wladika, both of Butler, and Virginia (William) Mills of Harlingen, Texas; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his grandson, Jeffrey Cooper; three brothers; and four sisters.

TUCCI — A blessing service and burial for Patrick T. Tucci, who died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, will take place at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Old Annandale Cemetery in Boyers. Deacon Mitch Natali of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler will officiate.Military honors were accorded in New Smyrna Beach, Fla.For more information, please visit www.martinfh.net.
