Sharon Jane Hennen
Sharon Jane Hennen, 71, of Evans City entered into the arms of her Savior on March 25.
Born in Camp Hill, Pa., on Jan. 12, 1946, Sharon grew up in Edinboro, Pa., the daughter of J. Wallace and Elizabeth (Igoe) Miller.
She is survived by two younger siblings, Gary Miller of Penn Yan, N.Y., and Marcia (Miller) Cooke of Edinboro.
Two years ago, her daughter Kristen preceded her in death after a long battle with cancer. Her son, Eric, and his wife, Francie, and their son, Joseph, reside in Boston, Mass.
Sharon's favorite thing was helping other people achieve a goal or satisfy a dream. This showed itself clearly by her investment of children. She worked as a doula and drama at different churches and community groups.
She was very mission-minded, going on multiple mission trips to Siberia, Uganda, England, Mexico and Haiti, as well as supporting orphans through World Vision ministries. Sharon engaged in mission-focused events and activities at two churches, Live Out Baptist Church in Fombell and Christ Church at Grove Farm in Sewickley, Pa. Being gifted musically, Sharon sang in many churches with music groups that she started or of which she was a part.
Sharon often said, “Many of my conversations start anywhere, but end up about the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the center of my life.” Everyone who knew Sharon knew this to be true.
She will be greatly missed.
