The seminar will teach parents how to minimize negative effects on children as a result of divorce or custody situations and provides a safe environment for children to share their feelings.

The program will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday and will run every Wednesday morning through May 20.Children must be age 2 by the Dec. 1 through kindergarten age. The Butler High School band has scheduled its annual pie festival to be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the stadium.Tickets are available from band members or at the gate. Participants will enjoy pie, ice cream and beverages and band performances. The cheerleaders and football team will be introduced between band performances.

KARNS CITY — The Diabetes Management Center at Butler Memorial Hospital will hold a series of diabetes education classes at 9:30 a.m. on Monday mornings in September at Karns City Methodist Church.Classes are designed for those who have been recently diagnosed with diabetes.
