Gerald Fox
Gerald Raymond Fox, 78, of Parker passed away Monday evening of natural causes at the emergency room of Clarion Hospital.
Born Oct. 31, 1936, in Perry Township, Clarion County, he was the son of the late Willis John and Florence Clawson Fox.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Parker.
Mr. Fox graduated from the former Parker High School, and he served with the U.S. Army from December 1959 to February 1962 with much of his service spent in Germany.
He was employed by the former Pullman-Standard of Butler for over 17 years. He then operated a plumbing service as well as owing Foxes Hardware in Parker for several years.
He was an avid hunter, and he enjoyed fishing in Canada for many years as his health permitted. He was also a NASCAR fan.
Surviving is his wife, the former Janet Trill, who he married May 23, 1959. Also surviving are two children and spouses, Jacquelyn and Scott Caldwell of Parker and Raymond and Stacey Fox of Emlenton; four grandchildren, Alexander and Jill Caldwell and Emma and Aidan Fox; two sisters, LaDonna (Robert) McIntire of Dayton, Pa., and Cheryl (Andrew) Reedy of Rimersburg; one brother Dave (Billie Jo) Fox of West Freedom; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition the his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Lizabeth Ann Fox; his stepfather, Robert Fox; and one brother, Thomas Fox.
