Myrtle Louise Seaton of Slippery Rock and Grove Manor Nursing Home in Grove City passed away Wednesday.

She was born Sept. 17, 1924, in Hilliards, Pa., to John and Myrtle Reedy. She was married to Glenn Alfred Seaton, who died Sept. 7, 1984.

Myrtle was Protestant and retired from the custodial department at Slippery Rock University.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Seaton of Slippery Rock and Darlene Barkley of Butler; one grandson, Jeremy Barkley; one great-granddaughter, Chelli Barkley; one great-grandson, Jon Barkley; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers; three sisters; and her son-in-law, John Barkley.

SEATON — Friends of Myrtle Louise Seaton, who died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home in Slippery Rock, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, with the Rev. Mark H. Yarger, Grove Manor chaplain, officiating.
