Amy Beth Lumley
At the young age of 66, Amy Beth Lumley of Paragould, Ark., formerly of Butler, passed away on Nov. 8, 2021, after a struggle with a massive heart attack.
She was born on Feb. 5, 1955, and was the daughter of the late Frederick James “Jimmy” and Mary Jane (Daller) Bitter of Butler.
She was the wife of Melvin “Dutch” Lumley of Paragould, Ark.
Amy was a 1973 graduate of Butler Senior High School.
She worked 10-plus years at James Austin Co. in Mars, and 20-plus years for American Railcar as the safety administrator, which she enjoyed very much.
Amy had an infectious love for animals, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Disney World, Marvel movies, as well as Star Wars, but most of all for her family.
Amy is survived by her husband, Melvin “Dutch” Lumley; two brothers, Frederick J. “Rick” (Carole) Bitter Jr. and Gregory John (Michele) Bitter of Butler; her niece/acting daughter, Jenny S. Whitmire; her niece, Melissa Heller; her nephews, Trevor F. Bitter and Frederick “Erick” Bitter; three grandnieces and four grandnephews; three aunts and their families; and numerous others.
Amy was preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca Bitter of Butler.
