Marlene LaVerne Moore

Marlene LaVerne Moore, 79, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Cabot passed away on Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 9, 1939, in Harrison Township, she was the daughter of the late Vincent Stephen Nowikowski and Sophie Mary Szamborski.

Marlene retired as a secretary from Butler County Children and Youth Services.

She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed computers, crocheting, reading and writing.

Surviving are her loving son, William (DeAnna Mckivigan) Blust Jr.; her granddaughter, Savannah Blust; her grandson, William Blust III; and her sisters, SophiaNowikowski Kish and Connie (Bill) Nowikowski Brinsko.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Moore; and her brother-in-law, Paul.
