Wilma Gray

Wilma Gray, 96, of Rockwood, Pa., formerly of Mars and Evans City passed away on Saturday evening at Siemon's Heritage Assisted Living in Somerset.

Born on Dec. 1, 1922, in Peterson, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Fred William and Grace Hortense Brown.

Wilma was a homemaker and a member of Mars Alliance Church, now Lifepointe Alliance Church in Mars.

Surviving are a son, Denver Gray Jr. of Oregon; a daughter, Katherine “Kay” Race and her husband, Gene, of Rockwood; her grandchildren, Kristy, Bethany, Ian and Sean; her great-grandchildren, Kayla, Emma and Tyler; her former daughter-in-law, Becky; and her brother, Duane Wheeler of California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver R. Gray, whom she married on Sept. 7, 1945, and who died on Aug. 11, 2005; a son, Lester W. Gray; and two grandchildren.

GRAY — Friends of Wilma Gray, who died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Lifepointe Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars.Services will follow at 4 p.m. at the church. The Rev. Paul Cope and the Rev. Jeffrey Lawther will officiate.Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Township.Arrangements are under the direction of the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Memorials may be made to Lifepointe Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars PA 16046.Condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
