Butler Bureau of Police and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service are offering a senior scam informational session at 6:30 p.m. May 12 at St. Michael the Archangel at 432 Center Ave.

A news release from the bureau said police are seeing many different schemes via email, social media, mail and smartphones.

Police are encouraging partners to disseminate information for this event to the retired community.

Butler City Police will be supplying refreshments for the event.
