SLIPPERY ROCK — Three former Slippery Rock University men's basketball players who went on to play professionally will have their uniforms retired by SRU this season.

Two-time Academic All-America selection Mark Metzka (1991-95) and academic all-region choice Joe Lewandowski (1995-97) will be honored at The Rock's Jan. 26 home game vs. California (Pa.).

Lewandowski, the former Butler High varsity basketball coach, now is head coach of the YAACE Prep Academy in Canada.

Kyle Camper, the nation's NCAA Division II assist leader in 2008-09, will be honored Feb. 12 at SRU's game with Indiana (Pa.).

NEW YORK — Brett Favre reportedly admitted leaving voicemails for the former New York Jets game hostess to whom a website says he also sent lewd photos.Fox television's Jay Glazer reported Sunday that Favre told league investigators earlier this week he left phone messages for Jenn Sterger, who worked for the Jets in 2008 when Favre was their quarterback.
