Man, 55, killed after crashing into gas pumps
EAST FRANKLIN TWP, Armstrong County — A 55-year-old Kittanning man was killed Sunday night after his car crashed into fuel pumps at a shopping center in the township, authorities said.
State police did not immediately identify the victim, who died at a Pittsburgh hospital of injuries in the wreck.
Investigators said the man apparently lost control of his vehicle shortly before 8 p.m. and slammed into gas pumps at the Shop ‘n Save at Franklin Village Mall.
A medical helicopter later flew him to UPMC Presbyterian hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:37 p.m., police said.
Police this morning did not provide any more information about their investigation.
