Threats defendant sentenced to probation

A Sarver man charged with threatening a police officer was sentenced to probation in Butler County Court on Thursday.
Timothy A. Gifford, 48, was sentenced before county Judge William Shaffer to 15 months probation after pleading guilty to misdemeanor terroristic threats on April 5.
The charge stemmed from an incident on Scenic View Drive in Buffalo Township, after Gifford threatened a police officer at his family's home, after police responded for a call that Gifford was drunk and threatening his stepfather
