Paul W. Johnson, 85, of West Sunbury, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born Oct. 11, 1936, in Cheswick, Pa., the son to the late William Johnson and the late Hanna M. McWilliams Johnson.

Paul was a 1955 graduate of Butler High School. He was a member of Springdale Lutheran Church in West Sunbury. Paul worked as an inspector for Armco before retiring in 1999. He enjoyed bowling, camping and going to the senior center later in his life. Paul was also an umpire at Pullman Park. Most of all, Paul loved to ride his lawn mower and cut grass.

He is survived by his wife, Laura (Bachman) Johnson, whom he married on July 13, 1957; two daughters, Cathy Laskey of West Sunbury, and Tracy Price of Galway, N.Y.; six grandchildren, John Laskey, Julie Grenet, Ean Price, Andrew Price, Skylar Price and Cassidy Weaver; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Donald Johnson of Maryland.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.

JOHNSON — All are invited to attend a memorial service for Paul W. Johnson, who died Sunday, April 24, 2022, which will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at Springdale Lutheran Church, 1061 Mahood Road, West Sunbury, with Pastor Denis Protzman officiating.

A private family interment will take place at a later date in the Butler County Memorial Park.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 East North Street, Butler, PA 16001.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
