Nebel

Megan A. Nebel, 37, formerly of New Castle, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Sunday afternoon, April 24, 2022, at her home in Pittsburgh.

Born April 29, 1984, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Dr. Dennis Nebel and Marilyn (Barth) Nebel who reside in New Castle.

A 2002 graduate of Neshannock High School, she attended Penn State University, graduating in 2006. Megan furthered her education at The University of Pittsburgh where she achieved her master’s degree in the School of Social Work.

Megan was employed with Springstone Health Inc. where she was director of outpatient quality.

She treasured spending time with her family, friends and especially loved her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed exercising and jogging. She will be missed by her three cats who she loved dearly. Megan attended Highland Presbyterian Church. She was a passionate mental health professional and advocate.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers, Dr. Ryan (Rochelle) Nebel of New Castle and Dr. Scott (Ashley) Nebel of Seneca, S.C.; as well as three nieces and nephews, Lily, Jack and Sinclair.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.

NEBEL — Visitation for Megan A. Nebel, who died Sunday, April 24, 2022, will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the R. CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at Highland Presbyterian Church, 708 Highland Ave., New Castle. The Rev. Richard Kinney will officiate.
