Main St., in addition to pottery and beer label-inspired artwork appearing through Nov. 3, is also the site of a “Pony Express of Tears and Hope” traveling exhibit through Wednesday, featuring eight pieces of artwork about domestic abuse and its effects on children. PITTSBURGH

Carnegie Museum of Art, 4400 Forbes Ave., presents an exhibition of photographs by William Henry Fox Talbot, who invented the paper-based photography that dominated the field for most of the 19th and 20th centuries, Nov. 18 to Feb. 11. The museum will have free admission on Nov. 19. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except closed Tuesdays and open until 8 p.m. Thursdays. Call 412-622-3131 or visit cmoa.org for admission.
