Mary J. Livengood
Mary J. Livengood, 88, of Butler, formerly of Ford City, passed away on Saturday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.
Mary was born July 21, 1930, in Adrian, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Vernon B. Hileman and Helen P. (Tarr) Hileman.
Mary worked as an accountant for Hoffman Auto Parts and also at her husband’s automotive repair shop.
Mary was the former president of the Butler School Board. She was also a member of the BUCO Travel Club and was involved in the fellowship group at Christ Community United Methodist Church and the YWCA.
She enjoyed any kind of crafts, traveling and helping Cheryl at the farm.
Mary is survived by her sister, Merideth Beiter of Hermitage; her friends, Sandra (Lawrence) Mato of Butler, Kim (Kevin) Bailey of Mercer, and Kim (Eric) Lawrence of Mercer, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Livengood, whom she married on July 3, 1947; and her daughter, Cheryl J. Livengood.
LIVENGOOD — There will be no public visitation for Mary J. Livengood, who died Saturday, July 13, 2019.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral service to be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, Butler, with the Rev. Anette Gerber officiating.
Burial will be in Ford City Cemetery, Ford City.
Arrangements were entrusted to Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Butler.
