Sara Mae “Sally” Shoup Bergmann
Sara Mae “Sally” Shoup Bergmann, 91, born on May 13, 1927, in Evans City, formerly of Cranberry Township and Evans City, passed away peacefully Wednesday.
She was the daughter of the late Howard Shoup Sr. and Altha Bradley.
Sally spent much of her younger years volunteering for many causes, including Civil Defense in the 1950s. She worked in the administration department at the Seneca Valley School District and the Butler School District.
Sally was a faithful member of Dutilh United Methodist Church in Cranberry.
She belonged to several organizations in Evans City and participated in the Lunch Bunch and the Junior Women's Club.
She cherished her life-long friends and made many wonderful memories with them. Sally had an extraordinary zest for life and enjoyed her time with her children and grandchildren, who will miss her dearly.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Suzanne Bergmann (Mike) Telakis and Christie Bergmann (Jim) Hart; her grandchildren, David (Jennifer) Hart, Angela Telakis (Tony) Stagnaro, Sara Hart (Matt Nall), Michael (Alyssa) Telakis and Emily Hart; and her great-grandchildren, Samantha, Landon, Konii, Melia, Leilani, Cooper, Sadie and Cameron.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bergmann; her longtime partner, James Burkert; her sister, Altha; and her brother, Howard.
BERGMANN — Friends of Sara Mae “Sally” Shoup Bergmann, who died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.A private entombment will be held at the Zelienople Community Mausoleum.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Sally's honor to EDCO Park, 204B S.
