Margaret Naomi “Peg” Fair, 84, of Parker passed away Wednesday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

She was born in Kepples Corners on Aug. 6, 1928, the daughter of Ross Bussard and Edith (Wood) Bussard Lewis.

Peg was a lifetime resident of the Parker area and graduated from Karns City High School in 1946. She was a former member of Park Hill Church of God, where she taught the children's Sunday school class for many years.

Peg enjoyed reading, shopping, eating out and spending time with her friends. She loved to bake and cookies were her specialty; all the children in the area knew her for her wonderful treats. Peg was an enthusiastic NASCAR fan and was a “Betty Boop” doll collector. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and they will never forget her devotion to them.

She will be fondly remembered by her sons, Lane D. Taylor and his fiancée, Cindy, of Smethport and Larry Dean Fair and his wife, Kelly, of Parker; Terry Taylor of Smethport; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Lewis R. Bussard, of Hilliards; and one sister, Imogene L. Bartoe of Georgia.

Peg was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Floyd “Pete” Taylor; her second husband, John S. Fair, who died in 1983; one brother-in-law, William Bartoe; and one sister-in-law, Ruth Bussard.

FAIR — Relatives and friends of Margaret Naomi “Peg” Fair, who passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, may visit from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 102 Argyle St., Petrolia.Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.Burial will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Butler, Pennsylvania.Contributions may be made in Peg’s honor to Park Hill Church of God, 3314 Lime Plant Road, Parker, PA 16049.To leave a condolence for Peg’s family or view a tribute honoring her life, visit www.bauerhillisfuneral.com.
