Kathleen White

Kathleen J. Glasgow White, 48, of Virginia Beach, Va., formerly of West Sunbury, died tragically Sept. 17 as a result of an automobile accident.

Born in Butler on Oct. 6, 1963, she was a graduate of Butler High School and a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach. She was a homemaker.

Kathy loved spending time with her children and she loved to cook and to take long walks on the beach. Kathy loved reading her Bible. She was a quiet and gentle soul.

She is survived by her mother and father, Shirley and Arthur Renick; three children, Jeremiah White, Brooke White and Joel White, all of Virginia Beach, Va., and one grandchild, Zacherie. She is survived by her siblings, Carolyn Rodgers and her husband, Richard, of Chicora, William Glasgow and his wife, Janet, of Pittsfield, Don Glasgow and his wife, Diane, of West Sunbury; Mark Glasgow and his wife, Karen, of Cranberry, sister-in-law, Joni Kiser (wife of the late Thomas M. Glasgow) of Butler, Ruth Malinak of West Sunbury, and Susan Wegrzynek and her husband, Mike, of Grove City; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Lee Glasgow, who was killed in Vietnam in 1969; her father, William M. Glasgow; and her brother, Thomas M. Glasgow. Her companion, Jim Duesberry of Virginia Beach, passed away Sept. 27, 2012.

Kathy was loved by all those who met her and will be sadly missed by family and friends.

WHITE — A private funeral for Kathleen J. Glasgow White, who died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2012, was held Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at the Rider Lutheran Church, Center Township.
