LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville guard Kevin Ware was cleared by doctors to accompany the Cardinals on their hour-long flight to Atlanta for the Final Four. The sophomore plans to be a full participant in preparations for Saturday's national semifinal against Wichita State.

Ware said the overwhelming support he has received has helped him maintain his spirits and strengthened his confidence of a full recovery. He hopes by next season to be helping the Cardinals defend the national championship he believes they'll win this weekend.

ATLANTA — Brian Banks said signing with an NFL team is his second-biggest accomplishment. The biggest was being exonerated of rape charges one year ago.The 27-year-old signed with the Atlanta Falcons, giving him an opportunity he said he did not believe would be possible when he spent five years in prison and five on probation.Banks was a 16-year-old and had made a verbal commitment to sign with Southern Cal when a Long Beach Poly high school classmate accused him of the rape. The woman eventually recanted her claim and offered to help Banks clear his name after he was out of prison. That helped lead to the conviction being overturned by a California court and Banks' record being cleared on May 12, 2012.

JOHANNESBURG — Oscar Pistorius wants to train again and recently went back to visit his regular track in South Africa's capital, the double-amputee athlete's agent told The AP.There was still no decision on an exact time-frame for the multiple Paralympic champion's return to regular running.Pistorius is charged with murder in the Feb. 14 shooting death of girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

AUSTIN, Texas — Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong is signed up to swim three events this weekend at the Masters South Central Zone Swimming Championships at the University of Texas.
