Charles A. Smith, 83, of Portersville, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022.

Born March 26, 1939, in Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County, he was the son of the late Charles Smith and Harriett Wills Smith.

Chuck was a U.S. veteran who proudly served in the US Navy from 1956 to 1960.

He owned and operated Chuck Smith Ford in Zelienople from 1974 to 1997. Chuck was a sewage enforcement officer for many municipalities in Butler County from 1998 to 2015. He also served on the Zelienople Airport Authority for more than a decade.

Chuck lived life to the fullest and loved traveling. He was an avid saltwater fisherman, master gardener and a private pilot.

He is survived by his children, Shawn (Becky) Smith of Harmony, Vicki (Larry) Sefton of Portersville; his grandchildren, Parker Smith and Morgan Smith; and best friend, his dog Sprout.
