East Brady Cleanup a Success
Mother Nature stayed out of the way as volunteers from East Brady and surrounding areas participated in the Great American Cleanup of Pennsylvania on April 23.
The cleanup crew consisted of 21 local volunteers and five people from Clarion County Probation Department. More than 40 bags of litter were collected along State Route 68, residential roads and in local parks and playgrounds.
Workers from Scott’s Landscaping provided bush and tree trimming at the Fuhrer parklet at the Sergeant Carl Curran II Bridge while volunteers removed debris.
The crew was provided space in the Farmers National Bank parking lot. Food was provided to the volunteers by The Old Bank Deli in the form of donuts, coffee and cookies.
The East Brady Area Development Corporation sponsored the event. Safety vests, bags, gloves and other tools were provided by Penn DOT.
