Earth Fest at the Robert A. Macoskey Center for Sustainable Systems Education and Research on the Slippery Rock University campus had locals out in the sunshine learning, experiencing and appreciating their environment Saturday.
The event returned strong after a COVID-19 hiatus, with activities and vendors galore. Patterned after the theme of sustainability, attendees of all ages learned how to make wildflower seed bombs, feed chickens and much more.
Earth Fest is a large fundraiser for the Macoskey Center. Its mission, according to manager Samantha “Sami” Laurence, is to inspire and create a just and sustainable future for the environment.
