James “Jim” Zillweger

James “Jim” Zillweger, 82, of Gibsonia died Friday.

Jim was a proud 1952 graduate of Hampton High School, where he helped organize reunions.

He loved his job driving truck for Pepsi Co., and additionally enjoyed selling real estate for many years.

Jim loved playing softball in numerous leagues and never missed a Pine-Richland football game, home or away.

He was a devoted member of the Dorseyville Alliance Church for over 50 years and served as Judge of Elections for Richland Township for countless elections.

Jim loved people and people loved him, especially his smile. Above everything was his everlasting love for his wife, Barbara, his family and his devotion to the Lord Jesus.

Jim was the beloved husband for 46 years of Barbara McKnight Zillweger; loving father of Bruce Zillweger, Beth (A.J.) Kovalchick, James (Tracy) Zillweger, Megan (Pat) Jones and Courtney (Matt) Stein; brother of Wayne Zillweger and the late Martha Mae Volz, Dr. William Zillweger and Chuck Zillweger; and proud grandfather of Robert, Amy, Becky, Brooke, Alycia, Aaron, Nick, Heather, McKenna, Emmerson, Meredith and Avery. He also is survived by 14 great-grandchildren.

ZILLWEGER — Friends of James “Jim” Zillweger, who died on Friday. March 10, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Dorseyville Alliance Church.
