Bucko shines in YSU's setback
CHICAGO — Knoch graduate Dominick Bucko had three hits — including a three-run homer — Sunday in Youngstown State’s 18-7 baseball loss at Illinois-Chicago.
Bucko also doubled in the game and collected four RBI. The Penguins fell to 23-20 overall, 18-14 in Horizon League play.
Bucko is tied for the team lead with 32 RBI this season. He has five home runs and a .308 batting average.
Playing his first full season at YSU, Bucko is draft eligible this summer.
YSU returns home to host Purdue Fort Wayne at 5 p.m. Friday.
