Helen Luella Felsing
Helen Luella Felsing, 96, of Butler passed away at 7:53 a.m. Saturday at the Orchard Manor in Grove City.
She was born on Feb. 9, 1917, in Butler to the late Ulysses S. Grant Curry and Martha Fritz Curry.
Mrs. Felsing was a homemaker. She also worked for the A & P Store in Butler and Troutman's Department Store.
Mrs. Felsing was a charter member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church and a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Ruth Missionary group of the Trinity Presbyterian Church and a life member of the Tanglewood Senior Citizen Center. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, sewing and Pirates baseball.
Mrs. Felsing is survived by her son, James Felsing and his wife, Karen, of Butler; her two daughters, Lois Renick of Harrisville and Marjorie Pifer and her husband, James, of Prospect; her eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, G. Glenn Felsing, who she married on Dec. 12, 1938, and who passed away on April 26, 2011; her son, Glen D. Felsing; her grandson, Robert Renick; her six sisters; and her four brothers.
FELSING — The friends of Helen Luella Felsing, who passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St. Butler, from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday. The funeral services will be immediately following at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Jeffery Jones of the Harmony Presbyterian Church in Harrisville, officiating.
