Jane Campbell

Jane Campbell, 70, of Oakland Township, passed away on Friday, in the comfort of her home, in her husband's arms, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born Oct. 30, 1946, in Slippery Rock, she was the daughter of the late Michael J. and Goldie (Ross) Devore.

Jane was employed by Troutman's Department Store as a buyer for the housewares department for 10 years. Following that, she became an insurance agent for the Bob Lowry State Farm Insurance Agency for 27½ years.

Jane was a member of Elks Lodge 170, in Butler; the Loyal Order of the Moose 64, in Butler; and the American Legion Post 778, in Lyndora. Jane was also a Gold Card Member of the East Butler Fire Hall.

Jane and her husband, Richard, enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas on over 60 separate occasions. She loved reading. She also loved watching television crime stories.

Jane learned how to cook from her mother-in-law. She was a wonderful cook and loved to cook for her family. When she was no longer able to cook, she passed her culinary skills along to her husband Richard.

She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 52 years, Richard L. Campbell, whom she married on Aug. 14, 1965; one daughter, Lisa Frank and her husband, Steven, of Moon Township; a granddaughter, Andrea, who attends Penn State University; and two grandsons, Brett, who attends Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, and Ryan, who is still at home; two sisters, Nancy Burns, of Herman, and Linda Gibson and her husband, Charles, of Butler; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Heitzer, of Butler; and one brother, Michael Devore, of Slippery Rock.

CAMPBELL — The family and friends of Jane Campbell, who died Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, will welcome family and friends from 3 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, at the Boylan Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.A blessing service will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.
