Frances C. “Sissy” Rekasie

Frances C. “Sissy” Rekasie, 80, of Cranberry Township passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.

Born April 4, 1941, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late John Wills and Virginia Mohney Wills.

Sissy will be remembered as a most loving and giving woman. She was the matriarch of the family, who served as the glue holding her family together. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her five children, Kirk Rekasie, Jack Rekasie, Regina Hunter, Shawn Rekasie and JoAnn Knauff; her 11 grandchildren, Johnny, Josie, Sammie, Danielle, Codie and Kirk Rekasie, Jeffrey Sypolt, David and Brittany Hunter, and Karla and Katie Knauff; her four great-grandchildren, Karter Sypolt, Lennon Sypolt, Natalia Harris and Khloe Knauff; and her siblings, John “Pete” Wills (Bert), Eloise “Snooki” Snow (Paul), and Nancy Joan Neushler.

In addition to her parents, Sissy was preceded in death by her husband, John Albert Rekasie, who passed away on July 20, 2017; and her great-grandson, John Albert Rekasie.

REKASIE — A gathering of family and friends for Frances C. “Sissy” Rekasie, who died Wednesday, April 7, 2021, will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the celebration of life service at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021, at the Rotary Pavilion at Cranberry Township Community Park, 111 Ernie Mashuda Dr., Cranberry Township, with Pastor Chris White of the North Way Christian Community Church, Beaver Valley campus, officiating.Arrangements are under the direction of Boylan Funeral Home, Zelienople.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
