Robert D. Beachem
Robert D. “Bob” Beachem, 74, of Boyers passed away Friday at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
He was born Jan. 10, 1940, in Ellwood City to Dwight L. Beachem and Nora Crouch Beachem.
He married H. Nora Taggart on Sept. 7, 1957.
He attended the Muddy Creek Presbyterian Church and was a former member of the F&AM Lodge 603 of Grove City. Bob loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, NASCAR and going to auctions and had an interest in glassware.
Survivors include his wife, Nora; three sons, Robert D. (Karen) Beachem of Slippery Rock, Darryl E. (Dianne) Beachem of Boyers and Jon A. Beachem of Boyers; two daughters, Loretta J. “Sis” Slater (companion Randy Page) of Polk and Maryann (Leo) Stepanian of Butler; five sisters, Shirley (Russ) Shay of Slippery Rock, Deb Lewis of Butler, Diane Carothers of Butler, Darlene (Gene) Covert of Slippery Rock and Joyce Beachem of New Castle; four brothers, Frank (Wanda) Beachem, David (LuAnn) Beachem and Danny (Kim) Beachem, all of Butler, and Ronald “Derb” (Brenda) Beachem of West Sunbury; four grandchildren; Chelsie, Michael, Kelsey and Colton; two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Levi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James D.; one daughter-in-law, Melissa Beachem; and two nephews.
BEACHEM — The family of Robert D. “Bob” Beachem, who died Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, will receive friends at the Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, on Monday from 3 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Matt Kail, pastor of the Muddy Creek Presbyterian Church, presiding.
