Walter T. Matonak
Walter T. Matonak, 86, of Butler passed away Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born on May 23, 1928, in Butler, he was a son of the late Andrew Matonak and Evelyn Brown Matonak.
He was the former owner of Miller's Quality Meats in Butler and was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
Surviving are his wife, Jean Renforth Matonak, who he married on Aug. 16, 1947; his seven children, Thomas (Mary) Matonak of Butler, Jeanne (Dick) Welch of Pittsburgh, Kathy (Corey) Matonak Hudson of California, Rebecca Studds of Butler, Joan Lee (Tim) Dillon of Arizona, Cynthia (William) Miller of Butler, and Richard Matonak of Pittsburgh; his daughter-in-law, Debra Matonak of Butler; his 19 grandchildren, and his 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Walter Matonak, who died on June 28, 2014; his three sisters, and his brother.
