PORTERSVILLE — Portersville Christian School will present “Bye Bye Birdie,” at 7 p.m. April 25 to 27 at the school, 343 E. Portersville Road.

Tickets are available at the school office or by mailing a self-addressed stamped envelope with an order stating the night of the show.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for college students with ID and $5 for students. Children 5 and younger are free. For more information, call 724-368-8787.

In “Bye Bye Birdie,” teenage heartthrob Conrad Birdie has been drafted into the Army, which leaves his manager, Albert, with a bankrupt music company and the teenagers of America in a crazed frenzy.

Albert and his secretary/girlfriend, Rose, work up one last publicity scheme to have Conrad bestow a farewell kiss upon a random fan club girl. The town of Sweet Apple, Ohio, is turned upside down as the teens become frantic with the arrival of this smoochin' rocker.

Ryan Ingram is the director and Courtney Ingram is the choreographer.

Debbe Picerno is the vocal director, Mia Temper is the orchestra director and Eric Slater is the set designer.
