JACKSON TWP — Investigators have identified both drivers who were badly hurt Saturday morning in a head-on crash on Interstate 79.

Jaime L. Perciavalle, 37, of Aliquippa, Beaver County, and Justin E. Seidling, 28, of Irwin, Westmoreland County, each suffered serious injuries in the wreck about 8:40 a.m. in the northbound lanes near the Route 68 exit in Jackson Township.

State police said Perciavalle was traveling south when her 2013 Honda Accord crossed the median and hit a guardrail. The car then continued into the opposing lanes before collided with Seidling's 2014 GMC Sierra pickup truck.

Neither driver was wearing a seat belt.

Both drivers were taken to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh — one by medical helicopter and one by Harmony EMS ambulance. Their conditions were not known this morning.

State police conducted a crash reconstruction, authorities said, but details of the report were not available.

The investigation closed a portion of the highway for several hours with northbound traffic detoured through Zelienople on Route 19.

Jackson Township and Zelienople police along with the Harmony Fire District and the Cranberry Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
