Martha Jane Kellar Keasey
Martha Jane Kellar Keasey, 87, of Butler, passed away at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 12, 1929, in Nixon, Pa., to the late Newton D. Kellar and Edna M. Walters Kellar.
Martha was a 1947 graduate of Butler High School. She worked as an office clerk at Magnetics and later at Spang and Co.
Martha was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Butler Chapter 45. She also was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Martha was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by one son, David J. Keasey, and his wife, Maria Stephenson, of Butler; two granddaughters, Jennifer Keasey Young and her husband, Adam, of Chandler, Ariz., and Amanda Keasey Johnson and her husband, Nathan, of Phoenix, Ariz.; two great-grandsons, Broderick Moore and Trent Moore; one brother, Mark Kellar, of The Villages, Fla.; one sister, Eleanor Kennedy, of Butler; several nieces and nephews; and her loving companion, Robert H. Heaton and his daughter, Leanne, of Butler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Melvin Keasey, who she married June 8, 1949, and who died May 15, 2012; and one daughter, Karen Lynn Keasey.
KEASEY — Friends of Martha Jane Kellar Keasey, who died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
Funeral services will immediately follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. James Swanson of the Covenant Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will take place at the Butler County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., Butler, PA 16001.
