Jack Edwards

Jack D. Edwards, 84, of Harrisville died at 10:45 p.m. Saturday at the Autumn Grove Care Center.

A son of Burley and Florence Henry Edwards, he was born on Sept. 27, 1930, in Fairfield, Ohio.

Mr. Edwards was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Germany during World War II.

He owned and operated Jack Edwards Sales & Service, an automotive machine shop and garage, fashioning and repairing automotive and farm machinery. He also sold parts and for a time provided wrecker service.

Jack attended the Barkeyville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed racing cars and scraping.

In December 1950, he married the former Jo Ann Snouffer, who survives. Also surviving are his seven children, Connie (Herb) West of Pittsfield, Cheryl (Russell) Dunlap, Jack (Marybeth) Edwards II, Ray Edwards and Jim (Mae Lynne) Edwards, all of Harrisville, Rick (Deena) Edwards of Greenville and Bill (Amber) Edwards of Boyers; his 13 grandchildren, Matt, Mike, Mitch and Mason West, Jason Dunlap, Adria Good, Heather Pape, Ashley Trainque, Brandy Grossman, Amanda and Sami Edwards, and Billie Paige Edwards and Abby Edwards; and his 19 great-grandchildren, Dakota, Danielle and Dacia West, Kyle, Alaina, Emma, Seth, and Nolan Dunlap, Tyler, Luke, Hannah and Jake Good, Adam Grossman, Jebedia and Kameron Pape, and Kennedy, Taylor, Ethan and Aden West. Also surviving are his sister, Norma Morton, and his two brothers, Burley Edwards Jr. and Kenneth Edwards.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lester Eugene Edwards.
