Harold Scott Sr.

Harold L. “Scotty” Scott Sr., 85, of Slippery Rock passed away Friday morning, Dec. 11, 2020.

Born Nov. 9, 1935, in Washington, Pa., he was a son of the late Herb Scott and Betty (Hall) Scott.

Scotty had worked in the warehouse for the Slippery Rock Area School District, and in the grocery industry setting up new stores. He also owned and operated his own truck as a franchise driver for Wise.

He was the president of the CB Rangers and enjoyed camping.

Surviving are his children, Randy L. (Val-Dean) Scott of Renfrew, William (Patty) Scott of Chicora, Richard (Kimberley) Scott of Butler, Debra (Daniel) Steighner of Herman, Mary Ann Scott of Slippery Rock, Jody (Gregory) Majors of New Brighton; and 17 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marian J. (Orth) Scott, whom he married Nov. 7, 1953; she passed Nov. 20, 2019; and his son, Harold L. Scott Jr.

Scott — A private service for Harold L. “Scotty” Scott, Sr., who died Friday Dec. 11, 2020, will be held for his family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St., Butler.
