James Snyder
James W. Snyder, 83, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021, in the Butler Veterans Hospital.
He was born in Glenshaw Sunday, Sept. 12, 1937, and was the son to the late Harry and Eloise (Devitt) Snyder.
He was a 1955 graduate of Shaler High School, then honorably served his country in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1961. He retired from Duquesne Light Company after 36 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in North Oakland, Chicora. He enjoyed sports and followed the Pittsburgh Panthers throughout the years.His life was fulfilled when he married the love of his life, Helen, on June 21, 1968. Together they actualized their dream of starting a farm, Snyder's Farm, which they owned and operated in North Oakland, Chicora raising beef cattle and berries until Helen's death June 22, 2018.James is survived by friends and caretakers: Derek and Diane Headland.Snyder — Friends of James W.
