Kenneth E. Mikolas DDS, 63, of Sarver, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Allegheny General Hospital.

Born Oct. 7, 1958, in New Kensington, he was the son of the late Edward S. Mikolas and Georgina H. Mikolas.

Dr. Mikolas was a graduate of Knoch High School Class of 1976. He went to the University of Pittsburgh for his undergraduate education, graduating in 1980. He attended Northwestern University in Chicago, and received his doctorate in dentistry in 1985. He started his own dentistry practice in 1985 in Leechburg, where he was still practicing.

Dr. Mikolas was a member of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Joseph Worship Site, where he counted the weekly offering after Mass. He was also a member of the Leechburg Lions and the Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and going to camp with his son, dad, cousins and uncles.

Surviving are his loving wife, Victoria Prusick Mikolas, whom he married Aug. 15, 1997; his sons, Alexander K. Mikolas of Sarver, and Gary J. (Kellie) Patz of Sarver; his daughter, Brandy Molloy of Arkansas; a grandson, Carson Molloy of Arkansas; his sisters, Kathleen (Tom) Goldscheitter of Cabot, and Diane (Ernest) Bragiel of Freeport; and several nieces and nephews.

He also is survived by his longtime employee and "work wife," Beverly Illar of West Leechburg.

MIKOLAS — Friends of Kenneth E. Mikolas DDS, who died Monday, April 18, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

A Mass of Christian burial will celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Francis of Assisi Parish — St. Joseph Church with Father Ward Stakem officiating.
