Irma J. Ghost Barker, 81, of Buffalo Township, Sarver, formerly of Butler, Valencia and Mars, died Friday evening at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in West Deer Township on Feb. 2, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Alice McFarland Horn.

Irma was a member of the Mars United Presbyterian Church and the Mars Chapter 3359 AARP.

She was a retired secretary and tax collector for Valencia.

Surviving are her husband, George T. Barker, who she married on April 22, 2005; a stepson, Wayne W. Barker of Sarver; a stepdaughter, Elaine Danik of Sarver; and two stepgrandchildren, Nicholas and Emily Barker. She is also survived by several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Melvin F. Ghost, who died on Aug. 13, 2002.
