Dorothy Pederson

Dorothy M. Wimer Pederson, 86, of Crestline Nursing Center, Crestline, Ohio, formerly of 828 Park Ave., Ellwood City, went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning at Crestline Nursing Center.

She was born in Rose Point, Lawrence County, on May 22, 1924, to the late Clair J. Wimer and the late Ruth Cornelius Wimer.

She was married to the late Harold "Pete" Pederson, who died in 1984.

A Presbyterian, Dorothy loved her family, liked to knit and read, and was in avid walker. In later years, she enjoyed attending activities at the nursing center.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and a sister, Lt. Col. Arthur K. Wimer and Gladys Caven.

She is survived by three daughters, Donna (and Thomas) Main of Beaver, Denise (and Stephen) Smith of Crestline, Ohio, and Debbie Pederson of Zephyrhills, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Jesse and Stephanie Smith and Ashley Foust.

She also is survived by two brothers, Robert L. (and Elaine) Wimer of Ravenna, Ohio, and Harold "Pete" Wimer (and Pat Anderson) of Portersville; a sister-in-law, R. Jane Wimer of Mechanicsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

<B>PEDERSON —</B> Friends of Dorothy M. Wimer Pederson, who died Saturday, July 3, 2010, will be received from 10 a.m. Wednesday at the <B>TURNER FUNERAL HOME </B>at Sixth Street and Park Avenue in Ellwood City, until 11 a.m., the time of service. Burial will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park in Rochester.Memorial contributions may be made to the Crestline Nursing Center Activities Department, 327 W.
