Gary J. Bauer
Gary J. Bauer, 63, of Butler, passed away Monday morning, April 18, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born June 25, 1958, in Butler, he was a son of the late Chester L. “Dutch” Bauer and Wilma (Kuhn) Bauer. He had lived in Kentucky for 20 years before returning to Butler in 2021.
Gary had worked as a heavy equipment operator for Swank Construction.
He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.
He enjoyed playing pool, throwing darts and spending time with his friends at several of the social clubs he belonged to in the Butler area.
Surviving is his daughter, Melissa (Timothy) Biedenbach of Butler; his son, Jake (Melinda) Bauer of Butler; three grandchildren, Levi Biedenbach, Haley Biedenbach and Brady Bauer; his siblings, Louis Bauer and Ken Druse of Newton, N.J., Marie (Jim) Baronetski of West Sunbury, Linda (Rick) Mazzanti, Ray Bauer, Barbara (Bill) Holt, Les (Betsy) Bauer and Howard (Leann) Bauer, all of Butler, Ruth (Lee) Jamison of Moneta, Va., Walt Bauer and Susan Druschel of Harmony, Dave (Michelle) Bauer of Emlenton, and Chuck (Sarah) Bauer of Chicora; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
BAUER — Friends of Gary J. Bauer, who died Monday, April 18, 2022, will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Shindigs/Bauer Excavating, 705 Herman Road, Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. The Rev. Matt McClain, pastor, will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, Butler.
