Doris J. Schott

Doris J. Schott, 83, of Harmony passed away Friday at UPMC Passavant.

Born Aug. 4, 1931, in Unionville, she was the daughter of the late Randall and Mildred (Goehring) Warner.

Doris was a faithful member of the Grace Church of Harmony, where she actively participated in Lenten, wedding and funeral luncheons. She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Middle Lancaster Historical Society and the 49ers Lunch Brunch.

Doris worked as a tax collector for Harmony Borough for 20 years and was the former head waitress at The Zelienople Restaurant. She retired from the former Beaver Trust in Zelienople.

She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her three loving children, Fred (Karen) Schott of Zelienople, Ted (Debbie) Schott of East Berlin and Susan (Jerry) Darr of Mesa, Ariz.; her brother, Robert (Pat) Warner of Fombell; her nine grandchildren, Bryan, Clay, Seth, Michael, Ty, Conrad, Tori, Kayt and Zane; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George E. Schott, who passed away on Oct. 17, 1983; two brothers, Clair and Carl David; and one infant grandson.

SCHOTT — The family of Doris J. Schott, who died Friday, April 17, 2015, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Peter J. Everett, officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made in Doris’ honor to The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
