Louise Olenic

Louise Olenic

Louise Olenic of Butler was peacefully called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 20, 2021, with her loving husband and daughters at her side.

Born Dec. 12, 1924, in Point Marion, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Florence Barone Muto.

Louise graduated from Karns City High School and the Maison Felix School of Beauty Culture, where she earned her license as a hairdresser/cosmetologist. She then met and married the love of her life, John “Jake” Olenic, 72 years ago June 26, 1948.

Louise lived her faith, totally devoted to her family, and as a caring, compassionate person to everyone.

She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, where she was a past member of the Parish Council, Ladies Guild and a volunteer for many church activities. She and her husband were charter adorers at St. Michael Eucharistic Adoration Chapel.

Her greatest enjoyment was placing others’ needs before her own, cooking and baking for her family and friends, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. Louise was blessed with many talents, not only hairdressing, but also interior decorating that she shared with others. She and her husband prided themselves in working together as a team on their home projects, lawn care and flower gardening.

Louise was a most loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, and will be so very greatly missed by all.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband, John “Jake”; her three daughters, Donna Olenic and Jackie Olenic, of Butler, and Patti (Ron) Blazejewski of New Castle; two grandchildren, Kristen (Chris) Cassano of New Wilmington and Brian (Laura) Blazejewski of Cranberry Township; along with two great-granddaughters, Annalyse and Amelia Cassano.

Louise is also survived by a sister, Frances (late Bill) Draper; a brother, Samuel Muto; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Muto and Josephine (late Richard) Gall; and two brothers, Angelo (late Norma) Muto and Robert Muto.

OLENIC — There will be no public visitation for Louise (Muto) Olenic, who died Saturday, March 20, 2021.

A private Mass of Christian burial will be officiated by the Rev. Kevin C. Fazio at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

Entombment will be held in Butler County Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.

Memorial donations may be made in Louise’s memory to St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler, PA 16001.
