Irene Rishor, 92, of Butler passed away Monday in Harrisburg.

Born Dec. 19, 1926, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Holland and Nancy Shaffer and the youngest of seven children.

With her husband, Jack Rishor, she owned and operated the Rishor News Agency in Butler, where she raised two children.

She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, visiting her family and traveling. She golfed and loved to read.

She is survived by her son, Kurt (Elizabeth) Rishor; her daughter, Sharon Helsel (Hil Wessel); her grandchildren, Kinsey (Jim) Helou, Kyle (Brittany) Rishor, Seth Rishor and Quinn Rishor; and her great-grandchildren, Hadison Helou and Kayden Rishor.
