Charles A. Martin
Charles A. Martin, 84, of Butler went home to be with the Lord Monday at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.
Born July 19, 1933, in Cherry Valley, Pa., he was the son of Clyde Martin and Alice Jolly Martin.
Chuck served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1973, retiring as a master sergeant.
He then worked as a production technician for MSA in Cranberry Township.
He was a member of Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church, where he served as elder and had been very involved in church activities and property maintenance.
He enjoyed gardening and was a member of MSA Golf League. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are his daughter, Janet (Michael) Koenig of Citrus Heights, Calif., his sons, Gary (Caprice) Martin of Auburn, Calif., and Charles A. (Jessica) Martin of Fredericksburg, Va., his stepson, Frank (Linda) Slater of Harrisburg; his stepdaughters, Lynn (Scott) Davis of Raleigh, N.C., Karen (Brian) Antoszyk of Saxonburg, and Lisa Martin-Giese of Butler; his sister, Alice Martin of Cabot; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara Ann Martin; his brother, George Martin; an infant brother, Ralph Edwin Martin; and two sisters, Ruth Martin and Cora Martin.
MARTIN — Friends of Charles A. Martin, who died Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev.
