Storm downs 9 poles, causing traffic headache in Cranberry
CRANBERRY TWP — The busiest intersection in Butler County continues to be closed this morning after high winds led to nine power poles coming down near the intersection of routes 228, 19 and I-79.
Penn Power crews worked overnight to restore service, but the work kept Route 228, between Route 19 and Cranberry Woods, closed during the morning rush hour.
The closure caused at least a mile-long traffic backup southbound on Route 19 at the intersection.
