Cranberry Twp man gets probation in drug case
A Cranberry Township man was sentenced to county probation in Butler County Court on Thursday, after being charged with possessing marijuana, LSD, hallucinogenic mushrooms and cocaine.
Justin M. Evanitsky, 29, was sentenced to 36 months county probation and ordered to pay a $750 fine by county Judge William Shaffer, after pleading guilty to felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance on June 5.
Evanitsky was initially charged with eight counts of felony possession of a controlled substance and two counts of criminal use of a communications facility after an incident on July 22, 2016. He was one of 75 defendants charged by the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General after a six-month undercover effort in Beaver County by the Attorney General's Mobile Street Crimes Unit.
