Michael K. Reeder
Michael K. Reeder, 49, of Chapel Hill, N.C., formerly of Butler, died at 6 a.m. Sunday at his parent's home after an 8-year battle with a brain tumor.
Born June 18, 1956, in Butler, he was the son of L. Paul and Marguerite Beachem Reeder.
A 1974 graduate of Moniteau High School, he received a bachelor's degree in political science from Thiel College in 1978, and in 1988 he received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of North Carolina.
Mr. Reeder was a certified public accountant at Duke Clinical Research Institute in North Carolina.
He enjoyed hunting and piloting small airplanes.
Surviving are a son, Christopher Reeder of Chapel Hill; his parents of Butler; his siblings, twins, Pamela Rockhill of Erie and Paul Reeder of Prospect and Mrs. Dennis (Laura) Welsh of Manassas, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Mark Reeder.
<B>REEDER </B>— Friends of Michael K. Reeder, who died Sunday, April 23, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Dollhopf, pastor of First English Lutheran Church, officiating.
