PITTSBURGH — Two Butler County musical theater actors are appearing in “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” for the Pittsburgh Public Theater.

Allan Snyder of Cranberry Township and Mark Tinkey of Evans City play the pompous warrior Miles Gloriosus and a Protean, respectively, in the musical comedy.

“A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim with the book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart.

The plot includes mistaken identity, pratfalls, innuendo, cross-dressing, double takes, and punchy punch lines.
