Sentence Court

The following defendants were sentenced April 14 in Butler County Common Pleas Court by Judge Timothy McCune.

Kari Lee Summerville, 42, of Butler was sentenced to serve a total of 12 months of probation after pleading guilty to charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia filed by county detectives on March 5, 2020.

In January this year, she testified, in exchange for leniency, against her estranged husband, Tywann Raheem Windham, in a jury trial in which he was found guilty of charges of possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine and heroin. Windham was sentenced to serve 102 months to 204 months in state prison

Summerville and Windham were charged with similar offenses after the county drug task force executed a search warrant at their home on Virginia Avenue in Butler.

James B. Schubert, 60, of Phillipsburg was sentenced to serve 11 months and 15 days to 23 months in the county jail and ordered to pay $3,633 in restitution to Kelly Chevrolet after pleading guilty to a charge of theft filed by Penn Township police following a Sept. 21, 2020 incident.

Deanna M. Russo, 52, of Butler was sentenced to serve six months of probation and complete 25 hours of community service after pleading guilty to charge of retail theft filed by Butler Township police following a June 15 incident.
