William Arthur 'Art' Weigle
William Arthur “Art” Weigle, 94, of Cabot passed away at 5:42 a.m. Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.
He was born Aug. 25, 1918, in Butler to the late Garth L. Weigle and Mabel (Davis) Weigle.
Mr. Weigle was a data processing adviser at Armco, retiring March 31, 1978.
He was a member of North Street Christian Church. Mr. Weigle was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in England, France and Central Europe. He enjoyed playing tennis, reading and collecting coins and stamps.
Mr. Weigle is survived by his wife, Phyllis Pearl (Cumberland) Weigle, who he married Aug. 11, 1941; two sons, Gordon Weigle and his wife, Susan, of Rockford, Ill., and Kerry Weigle and his wife, Diane, of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Susan Engwer of North Huntingdon, Pa, and Patricia Krason and her husband, David, of Butler; eight grandchildren, Keith Engwer, Joanne Arroy, Jason Engwer, Alan Weigle, Nathan Haas, Justin Weigle, Stephen Weigle and Beth Krason; 11 great grandchildren; and 13 nieces and 13 nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, John Engwer, and four sisters.
WEIGLE — Private visitation and funeral services were today for William Arthur “Art” Weigle, who passed away Saturday Feb. 23, 2013. The Rev.
